My Daughter Scarlett

Scarlett is amazing. She is a nurturing, loving person and a really fun friend. She is always leaving me the sweetest notes around the house.

Also, she reads to her sister. This makes me feel proud.

We Love to Serve

 I read this quote by the living prophet today and felt inspired. Then I wanted to share it with others, and I wanted to do it by posting a cute picture of service being performed. I thought hard, trying to remember when we had last served someone, and I began scrolling through my pictures looking for acts of service. Suddenly I realized that because I belong to a family consisting of various ages and abilities, we are constantly serving each other and helping one another. I didn't have to look very hard to find pictures of service being performed.

Disneyland

We are not die-hard Disneyland people, but we try to go every couple of years. We planned a trip, not knowing we were going to be there on the opening day of the new Rise of the Resistance ride. When we found out about the ride we were nervous and thought it would be a horrible, crowded day at the magic kingdom. Turns out it was a perfect day, and we were glad we came.

We love coming down to visit Jenn and Jay. We love our cousins, we love the beach. We love SoCal. I served my mission down here and it has always felt a bit like home to me.

Shy Little Baby

Today B and I were watching Annabelle play. She would play with her toy then crawl over and put her head on B's chest and cuddle for a minute. Then she played with her toy and then crawled over to me and put her head on my chest for a cuddle. When I said her name and smiled at her, she smiled back and then looked away, then back at me to smile again. "She's a little more shy and timid than our other children, wouldn't you say?" I said to my husband. "Yes," he agreed. "Definitely."

I'm enjoying our sweet, shy little Annabelle. She has smiles for everyone and when people get one of her shy smiles, they feel really special.

 Annabelle had a birthday. We all sang to her at Grandma's house. We all love her so much. She is smothered with attention all day long. She is sweet and loving and patient. We love our Annabelle!

 Toddlerhood. It begins.

 From the moment when Juliette realized that she could carry Annabelle around on her hip, Juliette became her biggest fan. She is the best little mother to Annabelle.

Kim's Shower

 Kim is having her first baby. We threw her a baby shower. Scarlett said, "Mom, why is it called a baby shower? Nobody is taking a shower."

Kim has really nice In-Laws. We love chatting with them whenever we have an excuse to get together and celebrate Kim and Toa. It was a really nice shower, kind of elegant and quiet. It was nice to have a break from the noise of the kids. B took the boys skiing. Me and the girls hung out with the ladies at the shower.
