Christmas Morning
The boys got a trike. They absolutely love it and are so cute as they take turns driving and riding on the back. Edmond also got a razor skooter. We debated getting a 3-wheeler or a two-wheeler, we went with the two-wheeler and haven't been sorry because he jumped right on and made himself a proficient right off the bat. Charlie also jumped right on and did so well that we decided to get one for his birthday. We sang to him on Christmas and he blew out two candles on a little cupcake (he was so cute, blowing through his two front teeth) and we will be throwing him a party some time in January.
Then we went to church. Scarlett wore the Christmas tutu that Aunt Andi sent her.

Ward Christmas Party
We took the boys to our ward Christmas party. We were so glad we did, because the kids had a blast. They decorated cookies, did some crafts, ate fruit loops, and saw Santa. Both the boys were happy to sit on his lap and they weren't afraid. I think it's because they saw the other kids walking away with treats and they were anticipating the same results.
Charlie was so cute decorating his cookies. He dumped a bunch of sprinkles on the table, and then picked them up one by one and put them on his cookie. It took him forever.
And a Mom with no babies took my baby and held her for the majority of the party so I was able to follow my boys around and do the activities with them. I vowed I would return the favor to another young mother one day. It was such a treat to be able to assist my boys and play with them without a baby in my arms. I miss them.

Scarlett's Blessing Day
The theme was white and tangerine.
I made the streamers by cutting white and tangerine cardstock into circles with my cricut, and then sewing them together with the sewing machine. It didn't take long at all, and I'm excited because these streamers can just be folded up and stored in a little zip lock baggie to use for another party!
It wasn't my intention to do decorations for the baby blessing brunch, but Scarlett is my only girl...and I just had to.
These roses were so beautiful, and smelled so sweet. Costco.
The blessing was lovely. I'm so proud of my husband and his great love for our daughter. My Mom and Dad came from Utah for this special day. Before my Dad came, he kept telling all his friends, "I'm gonna go to California and see my California girls. I got two."
Scarlett and I are so glad he came.
At church people kept asking me if Scarlett's blessing dress had been mine. The answer is no, although it does look kind of vintage-y. The story of Scarlett's blessing dress is this: When B was on his mission in the Philippines, he bought it for his daughter. It has been in storage all these years, waiting for her. B also bought several pearl necklaces for me while he was there. We hadn't even met at the time. He gave me the first pearl necklace the day we got married, and one each year on our anniversary for the next three years. I love him for this.
