Also, the other day she pulled me close and whispered, "Mom. When I die, bury me with blue blanky."
When people tell me their dying wishes, I always remember them. B wants a closed casket and Juliette wants blue blanky. I'll make it happen. Who else has a dying wish?
Edmond and his friend Preston had me take them to the airplane museum in Layton.
Time to travel! We have a trip to Moab and a trip to Hawaii this month.
The family had already gone down to the beach, I was a few minute behind them. I suddenly realized that if I hurried, I could get a family picture before everyone scattered among the beaches, hot tubs and pools. So I raced out of the hotel room and ran down the long hallway to the elevator. I was barefoot, and the carpet was soft. My swimsuit was creeping up while I ran, my hair blowing behind me. It was a carefree feeling, like being a kid again. As I ran to the beach, I passed a few masked people and briefly wondered if my mask-less face offended them. The word "superstitious" entered my train of thought. Isn't judging a person for not wearing a mask while outside and social distanced superstitious behavior? The word superstitious always makes me think of the Salem witch trials, too, so there I was thinking of witches while I ran to the beach. And then my feet were in the water, family all around me. I wasn't thinking of witches anymore. Life is good. We are safe.
B ran into an old friend from Granite Bay, Erin Lamb.
