We made our annual pilgrimage to see the lights at temple square. We always stop in at the Lion House for rolls and hot chocolate.
The boys and I had a date night to see the new Star Wars movie.
We had our Adair Christmas party at Brian's house. We sang songs and had some Christmas performances.
We celebrated New Year's Eve at my Mom's house. Nate set up his DJ equipment and there was dancing.

Christmas in NorCal
We went to Northern California for Christmas. We had to pack all the presents which is such a pain. But it's always worth it to see our people there. I asked Edmond what the highlight of the trip was for him, and he said "Seeing Grammy and Papa."
We are taking the kids to Hawaii, and we revealed it to them on Christmas morning. We put each of these letters inside a balloon and the kids had to pop them and solve the puzzle.
These cute blondies with their blonde Grammy. All in pink.
Papa is doing so much better. He has improved a lot since his stroke in September. He's walking on his own now, unassisted, and he's able to chew some food and swallow a little bit. We are still praying for his full recovery.
Of course we sang to this boy on Christmas day. He requested hostess cupcakes for his birthday cake. We were happy to oblige.
B spent a few hours one day helping Lee set up his new barbeque.
We launched some rockets with cousins.

Around the house at Christmas
At Christmas time, we keep the house warm and cozy and I can always find my kids snuggled by the fire with a good book.
Once a week the girls have dance.
Brian grew a beard for a few months. I didn't like it. One night I couldn't sleep because I was laying there thinking about how much I hate his beard. The next day I told him it had to go. That night I crawled into bed and looked at his face. He had shaved it into a goatee.
Scarlett has a little friend named Paisley at school. She comes over play dates. One day we made play dough.
Charlie wrote me this cute note.
I love looking at all these faces!

Tis the Season
Tis the season for visiting the Festival of Trees with your cousins.
And snuggling on the couch to read book by the fire. #hygge
For cookies.
For Anderson Family Christmas Parties
For making Grandma Great's fruit cake and thinking of her.
And for making your final visit to the temple for the year.
I made the following post on facebook: It's not very often that I accomplish one of my New Year's resolutions, but in January I set a goal to go to the temple every month this year (something I haven't come close to doing since I started having kids ten years ago) and tonight was my last visit. It felt good to set a goal and reach it! I'm trying to increase my love for my fellowman, trying to gain perspective on this life, trying to receive guidance on how to be a better wife and mother. Being in the House of the Lord has helped me in my quest. I'm going to do it again in 2018. Who's with me? #templeeverymonth
