We Heart S.F.

December 21, 2007 - We drove 2 hours down to San Francisco to see The Nutcracker with Steve and Whitney. It was in the Opera House and we really enjoyed the show.
We stayed the night at the Sheraton Hotel and then went shopping in Union Square the next day. There were all sorts of bands and musical people performing outside, and the ambiance was very festive.
Then we went down to Pier 39 to have lunch. We ate loads of fried fish and we felt sick afterwards, but that didn't stop us from getting a Banana Nutella Crepe for dessert. We had a great time.

B's Bull Elk

Last October B went hunting with his dad in Craig, Colorado. They were very successful, Lee shot a mule deer and B shot a Rocky Mountain Bull Elk.
Anyway, Lee talked him into getting the elk mounted and we finally received it a year later. We were a little worried about where we were actually going to put it, because it's huge. One day B jokingly asked his boss if he could mount it in his office, and his boss said yes! So, the elk has found a home. We named him Herbert.

Christmas Party in Indianapolis

This year for our Christmas party my boss flew all of us out to Indianapolis to celebrate with the rest of the employees at Coastal Partners. We have locations in Roseville, Indianapolis, Memphis, Chicago, and Vegas. It was fun to meet people that I had been communicating with via email but had never met. We spent three days in Indianapolis shopping, sleeping, and just hanging out. I had a great time. This is the view from the mall, which connected to our hotel.
Here I am with Kathy and Caprice. We went bowling after the Christmas party. I didn't bowl, but I had a good time watching everyone. They were all very nice and took good care of me. I didn't realize I'd feel like such a liability going on this trip, but I guess since I'm almost 8 months pregnant they all thought I was pretty fragile.

I've Been Tagged

RULES:

#1 ~ Rules of the game must be posted at the beginning.
#2 ~ Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.
#3 ~ At the end of the post the player then tags 6 people & posts their names, then go to their blogs and leave them a comment letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

Okay, here it goes...

1. Fact: I eat too much candy. I feel bad for our unborn child. He's going to come out of the womb craving the good stuff....like a crack baby only he'll be a candy baby.

2. Fact: I like wearing a swim suit. And I like buying them. I have lots.

3. Fact: I love living in Northern California. It is so green and the weather is so mild. After living in the desert of Las Vegas I feel like I'm in paradise being here. Also, B and I have noticed that the people here are very down to earth, which is refreshing after living in Vegas where half your co-workers are either addicted to gambling, chain smokers, obsessed with their image, or cheating on their spouse.

4. Fact: I am very immature. I think it's funny when people talk in voices, use movie quotes, swear, and trip.

5. Fact: I like the outdoors. I like camping, swimming, biking, 4 wheeling, snowboarding, boating, and hiking. I like it ALL. I especially like that B likes it too.

6. Fact: I have a phobia of meat not being cooked all the way. I'm always on the lookout for anything pink or bloody. Gross.

Alright...you've been tagged:
Jessica B.
Melissa C.
That's all. I don't have any other blogger friends who I dare inflict with a tag.

Are They Statues?

Our stake did what's called a "Nativity Exhibit" this year. Everyone who has a cool nativity from another country brings it and it's displayed at the church. There were TONS of nativities, we filled up the gym and two other rooms with them, and people from all over came to see them. Annette (B's mom) played a huge roll in bringing the whole thing together, and the end result was a very elegant event that helped a lot of people feel the Christmas spirit. It was awesome.

B and I also had a job; it was to sit for an hour and 1/2 in the Live Nativity as Joseph and Mary. It was harder than it looked because people we knew would come up and talk to us and we would laugh and joke with them, which probably wasn't too Mary and Joseph-ish. And sometimes people would walk by us and just STARE, trying to figure out if we were statues or not. Finally we'd laugh and tell them it's like Disneyland and we're just machines like on the Pirates of the Carribean ride. It would have been cooler if we'd had a real baby, because once people found out we were real they would come up to take a closer look at the baby. It was always kind of anti-climatic for them to see this plastic doll with blue eyes wide open staring back at them. The doll even had this plastic bottle attached to it that I had to constantly tuck back into the swaddling clothes. We tried to look super-interested in the doll's well-being, but after about 10 minutes we were pretty much ready for the whole thing to be over with. Yeah, we know, we're gonna be awesome parents.

Go Grizzlies!

We've gone to a few of the local High School football games this season. B used to play for the Granite Bay Grizzlies back in High School. He says back then they were a brand new school and they always lost, so it's been fun to go back and watch them win a few. We went with Steve Trythall and his wife Whitney. Steve used to be the quarterback on B's team back in the day. We had a fun time and brought our own hot chocolate. Of course I had to go get nachos from the concessions stand...because that's what you do at football games.

Mono

Last night as we were brushing our teeth B said to me, "Man, I'm just so TIRED all the time. Maybe I have mono." To which I cleverly replied, "I thought I had mono once for an entire year...turns out I was just really bored."

You gotta love it when Wayne's World quotes fit perfectly in random conversations.

Thanksgiving in Utah

For Thanksgiving this year we made the journey back to Utah. It's a 9 hour drive but it went really fast...maybe because B drove the whole way and I slept. We got there at about 2:30AM on Wednesday morning, and stayed until Sunday. We were able to see almost all my family except Kristine (in Montana) and Tyson (in Thailand). We pretty much spent the weekend eating, shopping, and lounging around the house.

Cards with the Tards! Valerie and Janiel play a little "spit" while Ashton tries to sneak a few cards to suck on.

We had to make sure we got a picture of this beautiful sunset that we saw as we drove through Tahoe on Sunday. We love driving through Tahoe.

Christmas Card Photo

November 11, 2007 - After church we stole Jenn and made her take pictures of us for our Christmas card this year. She knew of some pretty parks nearby, so we drove to one of them and 20 minutes later we had some really good pictures to choose from. She definately has a talent for picture taking. We won't bore you with all the choices, but this is our 2nd favorite. You'll have to wait to get our Christmas card to see our first choice!

6 Months Pregnant

November 4, 2007 - Only 16 more weeks to go! Little Billy is moving ALL the time and it's fun for me to feel his movement and wonder what position he is in.

Halloween 2007

October 31, 2007 - We spent the evening at Jenn and Jay's. They took their kids trick or treating and we stayed at the house to pass out candy. We enjoyed having the house to ourselves, and once the kids came back we were able to steal some of their loot. Tanner was a soccer player, Chase a baseball player, Conner a pirate, Truman Peter Pan, and Abby Minnie Mouse.

Here's B giving Abby a hard time.

Pizmo Beach

September 29-30, 2007 - While I was in Utah for Erik's wedding, B went down to Pizmo Beach for a short weekend trip with his parents and some of his cousins. His forearms got totally sunburned and two weeks later he is still peeling. We tell our primary class that he has a disease. This was Lee's first time 4 wheeling at the dunes, and he only rolled his Grizzly one time. Below is a picture of B on the Warrior.

Annette on the Grizzly

B doing what he does best, making yummy breakfast!

Annette, Brittany and Debbie spent a lot of time with the pelicans finding sand dollars on the beach.

This guy kept riding past them on two wheels. Showoff.

It's a Boy!!!

October 8, 2007 - This is our cute little baby. Until we figure out a name, we will lovingly call him "Little Billy". B wanted to call him "Jorge" (yes, the Spanish version) but we settled on Billy for now. He was very active during the ultrasound and we were told he has a strong heart and everything looks normal. Below is a picture of his hand, head and leg, and his boy part. You can click on the image to get a better look at everything.

Baby on the Way!

September 15, 2007 - We are finally pregnant! Here I am at 4 months. I am due on March 3, 2008. We thought we should document the pregnancy, so I tried to strike a pregnant pose in these pictures.

Proud Parents

Eureka!

August 2007 - Panning for gold at Caloma with the Galmeisters. We spent the day there playing in the river and trying to strike it rich.

Conner

Tyson and Ashley's Wedding

July 21, 2007 - B was unable to come to this wedding since he had just started a new job that week. He justified his absence by saying there were 3 other weddings in the Adair family this year so nobody would miss him if he didn't show up to one of them. Everyone kept asking where he was. It was a beautiful wedding and I was happy to see all my family.
