Spring Break

Our only pet resides in California, still. Scarlett is always saying, "Mom, all I want is a real live pet!" and my response is, "Honey, you do have a pet. It's Biff. He lives in California. You'll see him again some day."

We did lots of bike riding during spring break. I took the kids on a 3 mile bike ride in Utah before we left for California. I've learned to push an empty stroller when we go on the long bike rides. Juliette is tough, but sometimes she'll decide she's done, and she won't go any farther. Ugh. Three-year-olds. That's when I put her and her bike in the stroller and we carry on.

We love our morning walks with Grammy and Papa.

We were able to meet up with our besties a couple times while we were in town. Our kids always pick up right where they left off. They had a great time playing in the rain one day.

Grammy took the kids to do a bungee trampoline ride at the mall. They all did it and loved it!

 My little country girl.

 Swimming in the country.

We were able to celebrate Tiffani's birthday while we were there!

Grammy prepared an Easter egg hunt for my kids while we were there.

We went over to Lisa's parent's property for an Easter egg hunt. We love their train and all the green grass.

I was glad I had my boots on. Lots of wet grass puddles.

These two. The worst Easter egg stuffers ever. They ate half the candy. Sorry kids!

Love this lady and her little one!

Juliette came to me and said, "Mom, you're my betht friend."
"You're mine too," I told her.
"Come on!" she said, grabbing me by the hand, "Let'th run and thkip and hop!"

Little girl, don't ever grow up. I'm going to miss this little version of you.

Easter

We spent the day at Grandma's. I couldn't stop taking pictures of my kids with their cousins. I'm so grateful we have so many.

 These two. Friends for life.

School Days

What is the deal with spring pictures? Who buys these? They make me laugh and I always take a picture of the proof that they send home but I would never buy them.
They neighborhood walk home from school. I love all these kids.

Scarlett painted me this red face picture.

Charlie made this picture at school. I guess each face shows a different emotion.

Cake, Hair Dye, etc.

The girl was in her princess dress and all of my instincts were telling me that she should be celebrating something in that dress. So we made a cake. 'Tweren't nobody's birthday. 'Twasn't a holiday. But we did eat cake with sprinkles.

Cooley life lesson #1:
If somebody invites you to go to Hawaii with them, or any vacation for that matter, or to a free concert or a free sports event, you always say "Yes. Yes I will." If you say no, then you are a fool. The only excuse that is ever tolerable would be in the event that you had just had a baby.

That is our rule and we abide by it.

And so it happened that we went to our annual BYU volleyball game with Bret and Andi. I love watching all those tall boys toss the ball around.

My nephew Parker goes to High School in about 10 minutes away from us, so we love going to his Acapella performances. I bring the boys, they like to watch the orchestra and band. They both hope to play violin in the orchestra when they are in middle school and high school.

These girls party all day long. I'm so glad they have each other. I'm so grateful for our little family. Seeing them together makes my heart happy.

Pink hair don't care. All day every day.

"Mom, do you see my booful hair? Do you want me to make your hair booful too?" Juliette said.

"Yes dear. Please make me beautiful."

"Okay. Hold still." she said.

This is how Scarlett is drawing people these days. She said, "Mom, do you know who I'm making this picture for? It the specialist person in the whole world. You know who it is. Abigail."

Let's all lay by Daddy and see what he's looking at.

Conference. There were lots of shenanigans happening all around me the entire time. But I did try to listen.
