Pumpkin Patch

Charlie's preschool field trip was awesome.

This time the gate wasn't open to go inside the fence with the goats. I was so glad because it's gross in there. The kids had to pet them through the fence. Yay.

Scarlett thought this pig was yucky. She kept looking at the pig and then looking at me and pulling a disgusted face.

Scarlett stood at the bottom of this slide with her sucker in her mouth and watched everyone come down.

Immediately after I took this picture Scarlett fell forward and bonked her face on the bench in front of her. She had a black eyelid for a few days.

the password

During breakfast the other day Edmond and Charlie had a conversation that went like this:

Between bites of cereal, Charlie says to Edmond, "Hey Edmond, can I see that slinky?"

Edmond chomps on his cereal and says between bites, "What's the password?"

Charlie grins and yells, "Daddy's big belly!!"

Edmond shakes his head and chews some more and says, "Nope."

Charlie looks thoughtful and then says, "Uh...Mommy's big belly?"

"Nope."

"Uh, abra cadabra?"

The guessing went on for some time until Edmond finally gave him a clue that it starts with ssssssnnnnnnnaaaaaakkkkk

"Snake?" says Charlie

"Yup! It's snake."

Scarlett hasn't had her birthday yet, but we already gave her her presents. This little baby and a pink tricycle. It's all about bikes and babies for her these days. Right after Daddy finished putting together her tricycle she hopped on it and said, "This mine!" and then pushed off down the driveway like a crazy woman

In my hand I'm holding bubble wrap. The boys tried to sneak it into church, they thought it would be a good sacrament toy. Yeah......no.

Edmond had a fun run fundraiser at school. He ran fifteen times around the track! One of the best runners in his class. I was proud. He and Parker ran together the whole time.

It's always so weird for me when I find my kids sleeping somewhere that's not their bed. Scarlett fell asleep on the couch wearing her spooky Halloween shirt. She loves the spiders on it.

Edmond had a turn taking the class pet home. He's a stuffed dog named "Blackie." we read Blackie at story that night.

We threw a shower for my Sister-in-law who had a baby boy. I made this little striped penant to go around the table.
I also made these paper circle fans. I used wrapping paper to make the dragonfly one, and an old dictionary to make the ones with text on them.

Edmond's friend had a birthday party with one of those water slide bounce houses. The funnest thing ever.

A bunch of the kids at the party were standing around whining about being cold at one point. It was a proud Mama moment for me when I looked over at my kids and saw that they weren't complaining about the cold, they simply layed down on the cement to get warm. They're no rookies.

Beautiful little girl in the backyard with her water bottle/bug catcher in one hand and her sunglasses in the other.

My Edmond at recess.

My Charlie at the park. He likes to walk with his hands in his pockets. When I drop him off to preschool he doesn't even look at me as he yells "Bye Mom!" and runs off to join his friends. It makes me feel a little sad that he doesn't seem to need me, but I'm glad he's independent.
Edmond with an unlucky ladybug that he caught in the swimming pool.

B took the boys fishing at the pond. They caught a fish.

After soccer practice one day B took Edmond to get an icecream cone at McDonalds. It was some special one-on-one time for them.
